- Introduction
The right equipment make's the difference.
PC-Vane has developed special wheels and frames for inline skating.
Isn't it strange that all skaters skate on the same wheel width?
A child weighing 40 kg should not be using the same wheels as an adult
weighing 95 kg!
Wheels and frames must be "confection made" and specialized
to suit individuals.
A skater wants:
- Grip,
but too much of it will raise the roll-friction
- Low roll-friction
- Effective
push-off
- Minimal wear
- Adequate protection against vibration & shocks
The above demands must be incorporated in the properties of an inline
wheel, but let's look at a number of technical terms and what they mean:
-
Sliding friction
- Rolling friction
- Rebound
- Tilt toque
- Diameter
- Vibration insulation
